In theory, fly-fishing is a simple sport: Pick a body of water, choose a fly-fishing rod, select your “fly” (or bait), tie a secure knot, cast your line and, hopefully, land a fish on the other end.

Casting a limber fly rod is the only way to get a fish on the line for lots of anglers. Yet there are hold outs who think fly fishing is difficult, expensive and some kind of elite angling sport.
