Wet and windy weather heads for Cornwall days after Storm Goretti devastation
Cornwall faces another bout of unsettled weather this week, with strong winds and persistent rain arriving on the heels of Storm Goretti, from which communities across the Duchy are still trying to recover.
Storm Ingrid is sweeping across the South West and has brought with it 'significant tidal flooding' across Cornwall, according to the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.
New snowfall maps from WXCharts show a vast band of snow indicated in purple stretching for around 514 miles across the UK at 6pm on Tuesday, January 27. The forecast indicates snow developing across Northern Ireland before extending through Wales and into large parts of England.
Cornwall is set for gales and heavy rain for the next two days, as the Met Office brings in yet another weather warning. The forecaster has issued a yellow warning for rain, which comes into force at 3pm on Monday and in place until 12 noon on Tuesday.
