Meta Platforms and EssilorLuxottica were sued in a U.S. court on Friday by a smartglasses maker that claims they copied its technology for their competing wearables.
Meta Platforms Inc., the reigning leader in the growing smart glasses category, is being sued by another glasses maker over patent infringement in a case that also targets the US entity of eyewear giant EssilorLuxottica SA and its Oakley subsidiary.
Meta said it will suspend access to AI characters for teenagers across its apps while new safety features are developed.
Meanwhile, Meta has been hit with a lawsuit over the technology in its smart glasses, and their use is also prompting privacy concerns.
