The FDNY battled a major 3-alarm fire at a mixed-occupancy at 19-05 Flushing Avenue in Queens, with heavy fire originating in a first-floor tire shop and thick black smoke pushing throughout the structure. The incident escalated quickly with conditions deteriorating as fire spread and structural concerns increased. 1/3/26 T5 responded to box alarm T5-63 for the report of a dwelling fire. Enroute units were advised that there were multiple callers with reports of people trapped. Units arrived to find fire showing from the first floor of a 3 story MOG dwelling.
