At 317 Bow Lane in Middletown lies the State Veterans Cemetery operated by the Connecticut Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). Established in 1985, it is the largest state‑run veterans’ cemetery in Connecticut. This cemetery is designed to serve eligible veterans, their spouses, and dependent children. There is no charge for the burial plot, perpetual care of the grave, or the federal white marble headstone provided for honorably discharged veterans. The grounds stretch over about 23.5 acres
