Osh is taking more than steps on Sanctuary grounds and is discovering all the simple pleasures of life in Hohenwald — creating muddy wallows, toppling trees, greeting fellow bull elephant, Artie, making “bubble” sounds, and devouring giant watermelons. Your support has enabled us to welcome male elephants to The Sanctuary and launch the Bull Elephant Program. Lifetime care for male elephants cost more than female elephants because of the bulls' larger diets and their space and health care needs.
