Magnetic mystery: solved🕵️💫 Astronomers have found the first direct evidence of how massive stars form magnetic fields. Typically, star pairs are similar in age, but when looking at a pair of stars at the heart of the ‘Dragon Egg’ nebula NGC 6164/6165, they discovered that one star appeared to be at least 1.5 million years younger than the other.
